Hey guys, it's Joi here, and today I'm partnering with Aussie to show you my top five tips for aspiring hair bloggers. I have been creating videos about hair since middle school, and it has been such a great creative outlet for me. I hope this video inspires you to express yourself through your hair and embrace your beautiful curls.

Let's get into my top five tips for aspiring hair bloggers. Hit the subscribe button down below and give this video a thumbs up. Let me know what one video you want to make as a hair blogger that expresses your true self in the comments below.

My first tip for aspiring hair bloggers is always to try new products and hairstyles. Aussie has some amazing new products for curly girls bound to spark your creativity and innovation when it comes to your hair content. Let me show you a few that I just got in my recent PR box from them. The first item that they sent is the Aussie Flora Aura Scent Booster. I use this on my hair when I want a lightweight refresher. It has Australian jasmine flower in it and other great ingredients that are non-drying and will keep your hair smelling great all day.

The second item to give you some inspiration for your next hair video or tutorial is the Sleekend Warrior Dry Conditioner. You might have heard of dry shampoos, but Aussie came out with a dry conditioner. The key about the dry conditioner is that it's bringing some moisture back into your hair, and it helps keep your hair soft and moisturized without having to redo your whole wash day. In addition to trying and get brand new products like the ones Aussie just released, it's important for aspiring hair bloggers always to try new hairstyles. I did this hairstyle on my hair, and I'm going to show you how I did it. Hopeful this will give you some inspiration the next time you film or shoot for YouTube or Instagram. So let's get into that quick five-step tutorial to achieve this low puff.

My second tip for aspiring hair bloggers is to be a creative content queen. I'm going to lay out my top tips for filming and editing. For filming, my quick tip is to always film in a bright space with good lighting. You do not want your content to be dark. My second tip is to find a background that you love. I love my background because it has florals and plants. It's simple without being too busy. My last tip for filming is always to make sure you have B roll footage. B roll footage is additional shots that can make your videos more engaging. For example, make sure you get footage of the products you're using up close. The shot could be the product going into your hand or the product coming out of the bottle.

When it comes to editing, make sure that you are as creative as possible. Use different titles, transitions, colors, and upbeat music to make your videos more exciting. I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit, but there's also iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and many others out there to make your videos more poppin.

Tip number three for aspiring hair bloggers is to love your audience and enjoy the process of getting to know them. Make sure you're engaging with your audience on different platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. When you have your audience commenting on your videos, make sure you're commenting back, answering their questions, and also fulfilling their video requests that they want to see from you. Your audience is always going to want you to review the latest products like these awesome Aussie products. You should also consider interacting with them offline at meetups and Youtuber events.

Another tip I have for aspiring hair bloggers is to always focus on your audience first. While you want to grow your audience, do not ignore the audience you already have while trying to reaching new people. Make sure you are fulfilling their needs, and more people will come with great content.

My fourth tip for aspiring hair bloggers is to stay inspired to create. My favorite way to stay inspired is by looking at what new products are launching in the curly hair space. One of the products I wanted to feature is Aussies pink glitter spray because I think this is so great for doing festival, concert, and holiday looks. If you can look out for excellent products like this and incorporate them into your hair tutorials and reviews, your audience will love you because you're staying ahead of the trends.

My fifth and final tip for aspiring hair bloggers is to always keep learning and improving your craft. I like to improve my skills as a hair blogger by staying engaged in the community and keeping up with trends that other hair bloggers are doing. I also like to watch tutorials on editing and listen to podcasts and read books about blogging in the influencer space. All those things will help you get better at your craft and, in return, will make better beauty content.
