My WEEKLY Natural Hair Routine | How I Maintain Between Washes

This is my weekly natural hair routine (a week in my natural hair). I show you how I maintain my natural hair between wash days.

Today we are getting into a week in my natural hair, which will be two weeks of my natural hair. I want to show you guys what I do from wash day to the next wash day, usually two weeks. So let's get straight into the video because we're going to go through two weeks of what I do in my natural hair. This is mainly just going to be me talking through the week and then some little video footage.

So make sure to subscribe to my channel if you love haircare videos. And have your notification bell turned on because YouTube be playing a sis out here. More importantly than that is making sure you have your hands on my free hair growth guide. It tells you the top seven mistakes you might make with your natural hair when you're trying to reach your healthy hair goals. Any goal you have for your hair, this guide will help you refresh your mindset.

Day 1

Day one is wash day. So basically, you shampoo your hair with the scalp massaging brush. Then I go ahead and condition my hair and deep condition. I am using my microwavable deep conditioning cap. Pop them in the microwave and put that on your head for like 15 minutes while you have your deep conditioner in. And your hair will be permeated with extreme moisture. And then all my wash days after I deep condition, that's when I go ahead and detangle. I usually only detangle on wash day. So I use the honeycomb detangling brush. Then I go ahead and dry my hair with my microfiber towel turban. Then I add some leaving addition to my hair and usually put my hair into four braids. So I section my hair into four, and I put in for just a regular braid.

Day 2

Usually, on Day 2, I leave the braids in my hair, and I let it dry completely. So I might wear a hat this day if I have to go out somewhere. But, if I'm in the house, I have those four crazy braids in my hair. It's not that cute of a style, but that's how I let my hair dry completely before taking it out. If my hair is dry, I might spray a little bit with a spray bottle, but I don't want it to stay damp forever. My hair takes forever to dry.

Day 3

Day 3 is when I take down my braids, and that's my day one hair. They are least voluminous, and I will take my hair out and separate the curls to wear my hair down that day. During the nighttime is when I get into a very repetitive routine throughout the first week. I will add water to my hair using my continuous spray bottle from Joiful Bee. Then I will add either leaving conditioner or shea butter to my hair and put my hair back in the four braids as I did on wash day. So I put my hair into four braids, go to bed using my silk scarf. When I wake up on day four, I retake my hair, and I have another braid out.

Day 4-8

So I continue that for days 4,5,6 and 7. I re-braid my hair and taking it out. If I don't have time to rebrand my hair, I will put it in like two ponytails and then put my scarf. After the first week of just making sure my hair is looking cute, I'm getting lazy by week two. So week two, on Day 8, I usually walk where I hair and like a low ponytail or something as easy to put in, and where my hair is out in the back.

Day 9-11

On day 9, my hair usually needs a refresher. So I'll spray my hair so that it's damp and I'll add leaving conditioner or some twisting butter to my hair and oil. Then I will let it just go into an afro. Day 10 and 11 are also afro day. Between those days, I don't try to re-twist or re-braid my hair. I just put it in those two ponytails at night and put my scarf on, and in the morning, take it out and re-fluff.

Day 12-14

On day 12, I will wear my hair in a puff or a bun, on the top of my head, the same for day 13. And then day 14 is a wash day. The first week is about having fresh hair and making it last as long as I can. Then wear my braid out for the whole week. And then week two, after refreshing my hair, I usually wear in low ponytails, puffs, or buns. Then a few days of my afro in after I refresh my hair. Then it's time to wash my hair and redo it all over again.

So I hope that this gave you some insight and why I do between washes and a good two weeks and my natural hair. And let me know if your routine is different or the same in the comments down below. And I'll talk to you guys next time. Bye!
