My 5 Minute Natural Hair Morning Routine While Traveling

FREE] HAIR GROWTH GUIDE: http://bit.ly/free-hairgrowth-guide Learn the 7 hair mistakes that are preventing your growth. I have been doing a LOT of traveling and need to get my natural hair and makeup done fast before I leave out for the day.

Hey guys, it is Joi here. Today I'm going to show you my quick five-minute natural hair routine when I am traveling. This is my morning routine, and I'm also going to be showing you my makeup look. So if you love hair videos, make sure you subscribe down below and turn on your notification bells because I have new videos every week. I also have a vlog channel where I post my travel journey. If you want to see what I did during this trip, go ahead and go to Joi Wade vlogs which will be linked below if you want to see the travel journey.

When I wake up, my hair is usually pretty crazy if I sleep in a ponytail. My hair has been in a ponytail for a couple of days. I'm going to be refreshing my fro with the things that I brought while traveling. I have a water spray bottle. And I'm using that all over my hair to get some moisture back in there and make the curls start to form again. Then I'm using my travel size Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie from the coconut hibiscus line. And I'm just going to use that all over my hair and begin shaping my afro. I'm using the praying hands method to stretch out the curls and bring some shape back to my fro because it was in that ponytail. I can't just take it out of a ponytail shape and go. We have type four hair out here, so you know that that is not going to run. With these two products, I'm able to get my hair in pretty good shape. The way I finish it off is by using some water and also the edge control. The edge control that I love is the Cream of Nature pure honey edge control. It smells so good, keeps my edges laid, and doesn't get flaky or leave a residue. I like to bobby pin it back just because I like the shape that it gives my fro. Then I brush it a little bit with a mini brush that Creme of Nature sent me. Then I let it dry while I'm doing my makeup.

Now, I'm going to show you my makeup routine that I use when I'm traveling. It's great for on-the-go trips like on a day walk or day tour. I like to do a quick makeup look because I will be taking photos. I don't want to do a full face when I'm going to be walking around sweating. So let's get into the first step of my makeup. I use an eyebrow pencil, and it makes my routine go so quickly and easily. I have a huge pimple right above my eyebrow. What can I say? I'm human, and I get pimples all the time. But it's okay. We're going to ignore that guy. I also seal them in with a clear eyebrow gel.

Next, I'm using my mini Fenty beauty primer for my face and eyes and in the areas I'm going to be concealing and putting on eye shadow. Then I'm going to be putting concealer on to my acne and dark spots. I love using this Maybelline palette. It has many reds, oranges, and browns, and I added it all over my lid. I like to add a little highlight color on my brows to add a little more pizzazz, and then I add that red color under my eyelid.

Next, I'm going to do my concealer using my Sephora Collection concealer. I used to use the Nars concealer, but I need to save money, so I use it for now, and I like it a lot. I don't wear a lot of foundation regularly because I hate the feeling of having stuff all over my face. I guess that's why I'll never be a makeup guru because I never wear foundation. Lastly, I'm going to add this is the Better Than Sex mascara. And finally, add some setting spray because I didn't bring setting powder.

Okay, this is the finished makeup look. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you guys in the next video. Bye!
