1st Tip

My first tip for healthy scalp care is investing in a scalp massaging shampoo brush. I use one of these every single wash day while I'm shampooing my hair to help massage my scalp. It picks up dirt and stimulates the blood flow to my scalp. Mine is from the Joiful Bee perfect wash day kit. Joiful Bee is my natural hair brand that sells hair tools to help establish your natural hair routine. So you can check that out at Joiful Bee.com to get your hands on a scalp massaging brush.

2nd Tip

My second tip for a healthy scalp is making sure that your scalp is clarified of any buildup like gel or edge control products. Making sure that you're regularly clarifying your scalp so that it can breathe. I have an easy DIY apple cider vinegar hair rinse recipe that will help you clarify your hair. After doing it, your curls are popping and bouncy again, and so you should try it out your next wash day.

All you have to do is take a cup of water at room temperature, add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and mix it up. When you get into the shower, rub it into your scalp, rinse it out, and then shampoo and condition. If you don't feel like doing a dry treatment, get your hands on a clarifying shampoo. But I love apple cider for your treatment because it does wonders for my curls.

3rd Tip

My third tip for a healthy scalp is to do hot oil treatments. They are a great way to get the benefits of all of your favorite oils into your hair. Hot oil treatments are super easy. You can make your oil concoction in a microwave-safe bowl and then pop it in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Pour the warm oil into your scalp, massage it, or use your shampoo brush to massage the oils. Let the oil sit in on your hair, then add a deep conditioner while you're letting that sit to let the oils get in.

4th Tip

My fourth tip for healthy scalp care is using an anti-dandruff shampoo. If you deal with dandruff or flaking, you need to use shampoo. I've used the As I Am dry and itchy scalp line. It does wonders, and it's great for the wintertime, especially when your hair is drier than usual. I recommend you check that out! I'll have it linked down below the products that I've used that helped me with my dry and itchy scalp.

5th Tip

My fifth tip, which is my final tip for your healthy scout routine, is to use oils made to help with a dry and itchy scalp. One of my favorite oils is tea tree oil because it has anti-fungal properties. You can dab tea tree oil in your shampoo, conditioner your products. You don't need a lot of oil because a little goes a long way.

So those are all my tips for a healthy scalp routine. I hope you guys have enjoyed this video and get your hands on that free hair growth guide that is waiting for you down in the link below. But that's all for now, and I'll talk to you guys next time. Bye!
