Hey guys, it's Joi here, its finals season, and I wanted to make a video about how I'm preparing for finals and my best tips. But before we get to that, click the subscribe button, please. I'm trying to get to 100k by the end of the year.

My first tip for studying for finals is to start early. As I'm filming this video, I have two weeks before my first final. I started studying yesterday. I know it's hard, but it's so much easier when you get ahead. Once you decide to start studying early, you want to make a schedule. On my whiteboard, I made a list of all the chapters, and then the days of the week I will study each chapter. That way, I only have to focus on one chapter a day. It makes it so much easier because there are chapters 10 through 17, plus studying the lab work. So, to not stress myself out, I study in increments.

Then, my PR final project is not something I have to study, but there are tasks that I have to do for the final project. We have to do press materials, and I have all those listed on the days that I will do it.

The next tip is to highlight your study guide. If you get a study guide from your professor, the topics covered in the midterm or final will be on the sheet. So go through the list and highlight all the things you don't remember (if you're like me, the whole page is highlighted). After I do a couple of days of studying, I do this so I can familiarize myself with those concepts. First, I'll highlight it then use the lecture slides and the textbook. And if I still can't find it, then I go to Google. I would save Google as a last resort because one word can have multiple definitions in some courses. You want to make sure you have the definition that your professor wants you to know. The best resources are your lecture notes, study guides, and homework that your professor assigned you because that's how they will formulate the questions.

Another tip I have is to rewrite your notes. Then I highlight important words and concepts and things that I need to review. A couple of days before the exam, I go straight to the highlights and refresh my memory.

Another tip I have is to figure out where you like to study. I like to study in my room. I know many people like to study in the library or somewhere on-campus or off-campus at a coffee shop etc. When you're going to those places, pack your backpack well. You do not want to get to where you need to study and realize you forgot some water, a snack, a charger, or, most importantly, your notes.

My last tip I'm going to give you guys is to limit your screen time on your devices. Add a time limit on Instagram, Twitter, and other social media sites. And that's better than turning off your phone. You can study for like 20 minutes, then break for five and then 20 minutes again, and then break five and do that for an hour.

I hope you guys enjoyed this video with tips. Go subscribe, give it a thumbs up and leave a comment below telling me one of your favorite study strategies for finals. I hope you guys enjoyed this video, and I'll talk to you guys next time. Bye!
