Setting Up The Perfect Home Office Space in My New Apartment! Work From Home Workspace Makeover

Welcome to a new vlog. Today we're putting together my home office. I'm so excited because I waited so long for my desk to come in. Today we're putting together my standing desk and arranging my desk to get my work from home set up.

Just some background information. If you're new to my channel, I am a small business owner. But I also work a full-time job in marketing and work from home. I'm going to be working from home for probably the next year or so. I want to have work from home setup that works for me. I have a lot of boxes and deliveries. We're going to unbox them and set up the desk and all that stuff.

My apartment is looking kind of junky because I never folded the laundry. I'm going to show you the area where I'm going to put the setup. As I said, this is the monitor, and there's enough room for the desks to fit right here. It's going to be next to the TV because the living space isn't that big. As you can see, it's all junky, because I unbox all those packages. It can go in direct alignment with the windows. But my only thing is it gets really hot right here, as he said like the sun comes through. I don't want the sun to be directly on the computer.

All right, this is the chair in this big box, so I'm not going to open that yet. I got a case because my work computer gets hot so fast. I just got this Navy one because it matches my home decor. Since I don't have a separate room for my office, I will show you the space that I'm going to set everything up quickly. I also got a privacy screen because my company's privacy is really important. If I'm ever working somewhere or even filming videos, I make sure my laptop's screen is covered.

This is a stand that can hold laptops and tablets. Because I have a personal laptop and an iPad, I just wanted something to slot them into. It also has an Allen key where you can loosen it and adjust the sizing for it. I also got Sharpie gel pins. So many people were raving about these on Twitter. So I got them in a pack of 12. I hope there's 12 because some people return things on Amazon.

All right, I'm going to steal a piece of paper from my boyfriend. Ok, I like them. It's a little like a gel pin. I also got a desktop laptop stand. It's just another way for me to organize and keep the laptops together. Then I got a standing desk balance board. The desk that I ordered is a standing desk. It's great for fatigue and keeping you active throughout the day. It's a standing board that you balance on and stand on throughout the day. I'm going to link all these things in my Amazon store. So go to the description box as well as the desk.

Now we have the monitor set up with this keyboard. Now I'm just going to connect my wireless mouse over there on my laptop. The kit came with this wired mouse, but I'm not going to use that for now. I'm just going to use the wireless mouse. And speaking of the mouse, I got this cute mouse cover that's like ergonomic.

The next thing I have is this desk whiteboard by a brand called Fluid Stance. Once again, I'm linking every in the description box. The great thing about it is that it easily fits in the area between your monitor and your keyboard, and you can even push your keyboard under it if you want. You can hide away your keyboard in there for extra space. It also has a slot where you can keep the eraser. To supplement that, I got this big pack of markers. I might keep the keyboard out and keep the markers underneath.

One great thing about this desk is an electronic standing desk that you can program to standing or sitting. I pull it down, and then it will raise the desk to where I can stand and have that like ergonomic position.
