college move in day

Preparing for college move-in day

College move-in day is no easy feat for any family. I moved my belongings from the east coast to the west coast this August on USC freshmen move-in day. I packed all of my things in five suitcases total. We checked four bags and carried on one. We flew all of my items through an airline where bags fly free (thankfully!). Once we got to Los Angeles, we called an uber SUV and loaded up all of the items for move-in. It was only my mom and I and we handled everything great! Do not worry if you have to move your stuff far for college, it is 100% feasible for anyone.

Once we got to Los Angeles, we took a shuttle to the hotel where we stayed overnight. In the morning we called an uber SUV and loaded up all of the items for move-in. The trip to USC was about 30 minutes. When we got there, parents and students were already unloading their cars into the big orange move-in barrels. When I returned to her, she had already found two young men to help us unpack the car into our barrel.

Eventually, we made it to my room and I chose the bed that I wanted. After that, my mom and I began the unpacking process.
